Eight zones

Which zone are you in?

Pick your zone for local tips on describing your exact spot. The tips are practical: they are about helping the dispatcher find you quickly.

Central Dubai

The business and tower district along Sheikh Zayed Road, from Trade Centre to Downtown and Business Bay, with Al Jaddaf and Zabeel on the Creek side. Rush-hour traffic is heavy, and most buildings park underground.

  • Share the building name or the mall entrance as well as your pin.
  • We can't reach vehicles inside basement or underground car parks. A car on a ramp or at surface level is easier for us to recover.
  • Kerbside stopping is limited around Downtown and Business Bay, so mention the street you are on.

Communities in this zone

  • Al Jaddaf
  • Business Bay
  • City Walk
  • Culture Village
  • Downtown Dubai
  • Dubai Design District
  • Trade Centre First
  • Trade Centre Second
  • Zabeel

Marina & Beachfront

The coastal strip from Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah up through Al Sufouh to Dubai Marina, JBR, Bluewaters Island and Palm Jumeirah. Beach roads and Sheikh Zayed Road run side by side, and the Marina streets are narrow.

  • Say which road you are on: Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh Road and Sheikh Zayed Road run parallel, close together.
  • On Palm Jumeirah, say whether you are on the trunk, the crescent or a frond, and the nearest building.
  • In the Marina and JBR, the tower name or the nearest tram or metro stop helps most.

Old Dubai

Deira and Bur Dubai face each other across Dubai Creek, with Al Karama, Al Satwa, Oud Metha, Port Saeed, Al Rigga, Hor Al Anz, Al Badaa and Al Mamzar around them. The streets are older and narrower, and on-street parking is dense.

  • Tell us which side of the Creek you are on, Deira or Bur Dubai, because the nearest crossing can be a long way round.
  • In tight streets the loading spot matters. A wheel-lift often suits a short move; the dispatcher confirms for your car.
  • A shop name or a building number plus your pin removes any doubt in dense blocks.

New Dubai West

Al Barsha, Al Quoz and the media and internet cities on the Sheikh Zayed Road side, with Dubai Sports City, Motor City, JVC and JVT further inland.

  • Al Quoz is a workshop district, so many tows here are a short run to a garage. Send the garage name and a pin.
  • JVC, JVT and Motor City are large communities. A street or cluster number and the nearest roundabout help.
  • If you can't tell which road you are on, send the pin and a photo of the nearest sign.

South Dubai

Towards Jebel Ali: Al Furjan, Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali and Jebel Ali Village, Dubai Investment Park, Dubai South and Expo City. Long, fast roads with industrial areas and truck traffic alongside the residential communities.

  • On long highway stretches, add the direction you were driving and the last exit you passed.
  • For a truck, bus or trailer, use heavy vehicle recovery rather than a car tow.
  • Many calls here are a tow from a community to a workshop in an industrial area; send the workshop name and pin.

Suburb Communities

Villa and townhouse communities such as Arabian Ranches, Damac Hills, Dubai Hills Estate, Mudon, The Springs, The Meadows, The Greens, Town Square, Tilal Al Ghaf, Remraam, Liwan and Dubai Land Residence Complex.

  • Give the community, the street or cluster number and the nearest gate.
  • Gated communities may need access arranged. Tell the dispatcher who will meet the truck at the gate.
  • A photo of the street sign or the villa number helps when streets look alike.

East Dubai & Creek

Mirdif, Al Warqa and Al Khawaneej to Al Nahda, Al Qusais and Muhaisnah, plus International City, Silicon Oasis, Academic City, Dubai Festival City, Creek Harbour, Ras Al Khor, Warsan, Nad Al Hamar and Nad Al Sheba.

  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Emirates Road (E611) run along the eastern side. Give the direction and the last exit.
  • Al Qusais, Muhaisnah and Warsan include industrial areas where heavy vehicles are common; see heavy vehicle recovery.
  • Near Nad Al Sheba the tarmac gives way to desert tracks quickly. If you are on sand, see car stuck in sand.

Outer Zones & Highway

Al Awir, Al Lisaili and Al Ruwayyah sit on the desert edge of Dubai, on the Al Ain Road (E66) side. The Hatta Road (E44) leads out to the Big Red dunes, further from the city.

  • Tracks here turn to soft sand quickly. If the car is stuck in sand, send the pin and a photo.
  • Desert and outer sites take longer to reach than the city, so you get an ETA on WhatsApp once we have your pin.
  • If you are not sure whether you are still in Dubai, send the pin and the dispatcher will tell you.
